Origins

The origin of The Scorpion Twins is shrouded in the type of mystery that can only be created by the intelligence community. Very little is known about the girls’ early life, but from what can be pieced together, the twins were born to Chou Lin and Ling Mao Zhang, both agents of the Ministry of State Security, China’s intelligence agency. There is some speculation as to if the fetuses were genetically engineered and implanted, or brought about by natural insemination. One thing is indeed abundantly clear, the MSS considered the twins State property. When the Zhangs learned what the Ministry had in mind for the girls, they attempted to escape with them. The Ministry caught up with the family, however, and the parents of Lei Ming and Chin Mei were summarily executed. This fact was covered up and completely hidden from them until very recent events forced the revelation of these facts.

The Ministry took over the raising of the girls when they were 5 months old. The girls were trained from the cradle to be loyal to the State and to be the ultimate living weapons of the MSS. The Ministry trained them in every conceivable martial art including Pa Kua Chang, Qi Gong, 5 Animal Gung Fu Ninjitsu, etc. At the age of 20, the girls were sent to a mysterious Sifu, who taught them a variant of the Dim Mak (the death touch) called “The Sting of The Scorpion”. The girls took an extraordinarily short one and a half years to learn the technique.

Once they had mastered it, the “minder” gave the girls the order to kill their Sifu, as the MSS wanted to be sure that no one else would be taught this amazing and deadly technique. The girls were reluctant and refused, at first. But when the Director said that all the rest of their family, whom they had been hidden from all their lives, would be executed if they did not obey, the girls felt they had no choice. They went back to their Sifu, Jian Fu Sing, under the pretense of paying their respects. Sifu Sing had become like a father to the girls, and he could see their hearts were heavy. He somehow knew what the girls had been ordered to do and bore them no malice. “If they have told you to kill me, then you should do so, but before you do, I have something to tell you.” said Sifu.

He told them that their parents had been murdered by the MSS; that the very man who gave them their orders was the one that commissioned the deaths of the Zhangs. The twins never returned from the dojo of Sifu Sing, but he also was never seen again. They had been ruled a loss to the State and were missing, presumed dead. A week after the girls were so ruled, the personnel of the program that raised and trained the girls began to disappear. There was no sign of foul play, no physical evidence to follow, no notes or messages, they simply vanished! The last person left was the Director that oversaw what had been called “The Gemini Project”.

One fateful night the Director of Agent Development, General Chou Lei Fung, was at home asleep in bed. Suddenly, he was aware of a presence in the room with him. He swiftly removed the gun from under his pillow and pointed it into the darkness and demanded, “Who is there? Show yourself, now! Or I’ll fire!” Lei Ming was the first to show herself.

Her face had been painted white like a mime except for her full lips which were shiny and red. She wore a white and light blue high tech suit of what appeared to be PVC material. It consisted of a white helmet which covered her head from the hairline to the nape of the neck. Beyond that, her silky jet black hair spilled straight down past her shoulders. The suit had a halter type top which left the shoulders bare and started at the neck white and blue, changed to blue between the breasts, and went back to white moving around to her back. The top covered her breasts with 2 cups which were darker blue and not integrated into the halter itself. Almost grey in color, the bra-like cup structure attached to the halter in the front by 3 clasps on each cup and extended around to the back where it attached to the halter also.

Her hands and part of her arms were covered by gloves that exposed the fingers to the 2nd knuckle, and continued up the arm to the middle of the bicep. The gloves were white on top and the same medium blue as the chest cover on the bottom. The gloves had a zipper that went from the middle of the top of the hand, to the anterior of the bicep. The suit continued with a thong bikini bottom that was white on the area of the waist until it went down toward the groin. The color then changed from the medium blue to almost grey as it moved down the garment.

Her shapely legs were covered by 3 different garments. The first was a glistening sheer pair of white pantyhose which covered her from her curvaceous hips to her model perfect toes. The second was a knee covering which was mostly white, but had writing on the inside of the thigh and a triangle shaped area of grey color that went all the way around the thigh except where the writing was.

The knee covering was secured to the leg by a black zipper closure, from the knee to the mid-thigh on the anterior of the leg. The third was a boot made of the same material. The boot was all white in front and bluish grey from the calf to the heel in back. The her shimmering white hosed toes and heel were exposed and the zipper closure was located on the front of the boot going from the top of the foot opposite the arch to the top of the shin, just below the knee.

Chin Mei then stepped from the shadows of the General’s master suite wearing the same outfit but in red accented with shades of grey. “Good evening, General.” the twins said in unison. “Lei? Chin? What do you want?” he asked nervously, “Where have you been?” “Oh, we’ve been quite busy, haven’t we sister?” said Chin Mei. “Yes, most engaged, General.” said Lei Ming, “making preparations, kidnapping your staff, torturing them to get information, and then the real work began when we made them disappear! You have no idea how painstaking and detail oriented that is!” The twins giggled.

“You made my people disappear? How??” asked General Chou. “Shhhh, that’s a secret,” Chin Mei teased, holding her finger to her red lips, “if we told you, we’d have to kill you!” Lei Ming asked,” Well, aren’t we going to do that anyway?” “Yes, but let’s allow him to go to his reward with a little mystery on his mind!” replied Chin Mei, “Besides, I’m ready to get to the fun part!” “Oh, is it time?” asked Lei Ming excitedly. “Yes sister, it’s time to begin!” Chin Mei replied with an evil grin.

The girls began to move closer to the General. “Stay back!” he warned, “or I swear I’ll shoot you where you stand!” “Like you killed our mother and our father, General?” asked Lei Ming through her teeth. Chou looked shocked when he heard Lei ask the question. “Oh yes, Sifu Sing told us everything about you, the MSS and ‘The Gemini Project’!” explained Chin, “That’s why we saved you for last! That’s why you’re going to die very…very…slowly!” The girls began to laugh. Chou fired, but the twins seemed to vanish before his eyes! He continued to fire the weapon in all directions, but the laughter continued…until the magazine was empty. The twins suddenly reappeared. Lei Ming smiled and said, “If I’m not mistaken sister, that’s a Makarov PMM 12 shot 9x18mm is it not?” “Why yes, sister I believe you’re right!” Chin Mei replied, “He’s empty!”

General Chou desperately lunged toward his nightstand to retrieve the spare magazine he kept there. He never reached it. He did however feel a slight poke in his forearm. The pressure point released a sensation of pain he had never before experienced. For the first time in 25 years, General Chou Lei Fung screamed. He continued to scream for the next seven hours as the twins activated and deactivated pressure point after pressure point in various parts of his body. The General pleaded with them, “Please…I beg you…Please…stop! I’ll give you…anything you want! Anything!!” “Anything, General?” asked Chin Mei. “Yes, anything you want!” he answered. “We want our parents back, you murdering S.O.B.!!” shouted Lei Ming. The torture continued.

By the time the girls had deactivated the last point, the sun was coming up. Lei Ming yawned and said, “Let’s sting him now sister, I’m sleepy!” “Me too!” Chin Mei replied with a yawn of her own, “Oh, we forgot to tell him the new names Sifu gave us!” “We did? After all this we still forgot?” asked Lei, “I’m so sorry, General! Let us re-introduce ourselves for the first and last time, I am The White Scorpion and my sister is called The Red Scorpion and this is the reason why!” Lei Ming performed the Sting of The Scorpion on the General. Immediately after her, Chin Mei did the same.

General Chou convulsed several times. The last convulsion was so severe, he snapped his own spine. He lived for a few more seconds and then died with the most fearful expression of pain on his face that anyone had ever seen. The girls flipped a small card onto his chest consisting of a black background with a red and a white scorpion on it with their tails intertwined. “Let’s go back to Sifu’s and get some breakfast, I’m hungry!” said White Scorpion. “Yeah, all night torture sessions do tend to make you a bit peckish!” Red Scorpion replied. The twins looked at each other and laughed heartily.

Powers

The Scorpion Twins have a variety of abilities that may seem to be superhuman, but in actuality most are the deadliest of techniques that have been learned over two decades of intense daily training. With their flippant attitudes the girls may seem undisciplined, but this is not the case. They are two of the most lethal martial artists on the planet, trained in several, if not every, style and form of fighting and assassination ever conceived.

o Pressure Points: The twins know every pressure point for agonizing pain and blissful ecstasy on the human body intimately. They can take a victim to a place of positive Nirvana or into depths of hell itself, depending on their mood or disposition at the time. These techniques are usually used by the twins to extract information. To date, there is no one who has ever been interrogated by them that they haven’t broken. Although they are assassins by trade, they do very little “collateral damage”, i.e. they do not kill for free, but can do so for pleasure or revenge.

o Martial Arts: As previously stated, the twins are Mistresses of several martial art forms. Most of which may or may not be familiar, but are deadly nonetheless. A complete list would be too extensive but a short list would include:

o The Sting of The Scorpion: This technique has no defense against it. This is because only five people on the planet know how to deliver it: The Scorpion Twins, Sifu Jian Fu Sing and two other students whose identities and whereabouts are only known to Master Jian. Only these individuals know what the technique is and how it works, but from the autopsies of the victims, the Sting causes extreme convulsions just before death and usually leaves the victim curled up backward with their feet over their backs, much like a scorpion’s tail. From all accounts the Sting never fails to kill the recipient and once it is delivered it cannot be stopped, as far as is known at this time. From secret video tapes made by the MSS as a demonstration, the technique can be delivered by hand or foot pressure. Unfortunately, the twins delivered the technique so quickly that even slowing the recording down to bare minimum, how it is done still cannot be determined.

o The Uniforms: The white and blue uniform of The White Scorpion and the red and grey uniform of The Red Scorpion are made of a high tech mixture of PVC vinyl and Kevlar. The twins have been known to evade bullets and kick them out of the air with their space age boots. The uniform, with the exception of their shimmering white and red pantyhose, is also resistant to blade and blunt instrument penetration.
